My version of Leviathan - or any sea monster in general, actually. Normally they are either a serpent or octopus, so I thought ... WHY NOT COMBINE THE TWO? I am so devilishly brilliant it should be illegal. -cough-
This particular monster has a place in one of my stories. He is thousands of years old and has had many names, Leviathan being his newest one. He is the last living sea serpent, surrounded by myths and legends. Many stories have been told about him, most of them describing his attacks towards ships venturing the sea; his octopus arms grabbing hold of the vessel, from which he devours the crew one man by one.
Depends, in present time you probably wouldn't have to worry about that too much since there would only be one of these guys, and he'd have grown so big he wouldn't be able to swim near shores without becoming stranded. If you were to fall off a boat in the middle of the sea, however ...
